2 FCT PhD Fellowships @ Otília Vieira’s Lab

Two project proposals suitable for application to FCT PhD fellowships, under the supervision of Dr Otília Vieira and Dr André Marques from the Lysosomes and Disease Group.

Both projects aim to identify the molecular mechanisms of lysosome malfunction and to understand how lysosome dysfunction affects cell homeostasis and contributes to the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. More info by email Otília Vieira or André Marques.

 

2 FCT PhD Fellowships @ Duarte Barral’s Lab

Two projects suitable for application to the FCT PhD Fellowship 2022 call are available in the Membrane Traffic in Disease Group led by Dr Duarte Barral.

One project aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms of basal and stimulated skin pigmentation and the pathogenesis of skin pigmentation disorders, and the other the subversion of membrane traffic in breast cancer and melanoma aggressiveness. 2 FCT PhD Fellowships @ Miguel Seabra’s Lab

Two project proposals suitable for application to FCT PhD fellowships available in the Molecular Mechanisms of Disease Group led by Dr Miguel Seabra and Dr Sandra Tenreiro.

One project focuses on the Mechanisms of Cell Death in Choroideremia, under the direct supervision of Dr Pedro Antas and Dr Miguel Seabra; and the second focuses on Modeling hyperglycemia through human retinal organoids: a 3D model of early Diabetic retinopathy for drug discovery, under the supervision of Dr Sandra Tenreiro and Dr Cláudia Nunes dos Santos (PI of Molecular Nutrition Health Lab).
